Good Morning :)

Most of the medical field professional has this. Like especially when you go into sub-specialistation and super specialisation. The surgeon say - it's my case i am operating i am the bossThe anaesthetist says - without me the surgery cannot happen, though the patient doesnt know me still i am the bossThe radiologist says - I am going to tell you whether you can operate it or not based on my finding i am the bossThe pathologist says - I said it's cancer or not, you just had a query, i am the bossThe internal medicine says - I did a through evaluation and found the initial mistake which can be treated surgical and referred to the surgeon, i am the boss. And i am sure you must have found/heard/experienced this in almost every department during your internship. I find this very toxic. That too when it's kind of forced into young medical graduates yet to make the mark in the field. There is no boss here, all are servants - serving the patient who is the needy (to put in realistic world - servants who serve the patients who pays you) that's all. The case ends there ! Why do we need to find who is superior, rather than just do our jobs perfectly and feel very happy about it ! More than enough isn't ?Think again. next time when there is a conversation or you want to convey anything to the younger generation -  tell them it holistic medicine and just do your part correctly and walk away !!! Infact there is only one boss - The Universal Boss ðŸ˜Ž , Chris Gayle !Now chuck all - Just smile and a very good morning !!

Good Morning :)

A slightly bit special morning :) - Today is International Pathology Day. !There are like plenty of times i have faced this question - From students to my senior consultant and CEO of places i have worked for. Why did you take Pathology ?To most of them i ask back in a subtle way  "Why NOT Pathology?". It's most important diagnostic field ignored in our country at large and hoping for it to be recognised more like in developed countries soon...If you want to practice "Evidence Based Medicine, like everyone says" -  Pathology is the most important backbone of the evidence.Hope this interest stays with me for long and hope i will be able to impart a bit on knowledge to the coming generations :) A very good morning. #pinkandblue #colourfulstepstofuture

Good Morning :)

Well well well, with festival bells ringing around the corner, I am some of you must be planning all sorts of things to lock yourself in your room and tell to your family do not do this do not do that. Reduce the volume of TV, don't call guests and lots of orders -  Because you are studying. At the same time most of those who say this to your parents will see the IPL FINAL MATCH for sure. So why is that we are being penny wise and pound foolish ? It has always been like this. We tend to conserve on little things and leave a big thing at stake, Memorize most commons and leave the conceptsStudying for an MCQ exam and leaving away the beauty of medicine... Whichever you do foregoing your time - give instant gratification ! - Reading 10 most common you hardly need 2 minutes - instant gratification, clearing a NEET is instant (one year) compared to excelling medicine - life long. The culprit of all of these is our blessed DOPAMINE . Unfortunately it gives the rush - for instant gratification, that diverts our goal. Let's imagine this way -  We are not going to give the brain it's dopamine - we are going to deprive it for the final biggest push - and one final day of the achievement (the bigger dream not NEET) you will pump your brain with so much dopamine, that it floats in it literally.. Won't that be amazing ? Keep saying this to your brain -  Hack it, Fool it and make it dance to your whims and fantasies ! After-all it's a fat tissue with few neurons under influence -  we can be the master of it ! And we are going to be the master of it. Do not give the instant gratification - Slowly drag it, till the end always under your control. :) A very good morning  - Smile big and communicate to your neurons, wait i will flush you with dopamine soon. !

Good Morning :)

Happened to meet a kid yesterday and as usual the parents told the kid "Dance and show to this song to uncle (ouch that hurts always)" - I don't personally like parents doing that, but the kid danced so damn gracefully, looked like a trained dancer. I was like wow... really wow... Came back home and tried a few moves what the kid did - and flopped to the core :P (wasted half hour in the process and a few breathes (oh yes that UNCLE word resonated)  My mom is here and she said - You know you cant do it then why waste time ?.. She is a reality check for me. Try introspecting your life, in studies as well -  we do try sometimes reading like others, we do try sometime behaving like others, we do sometime be the best like others... And we end of failing and wasting time.  The reason is simple - You have a strength and you know it.  I just want you to harness your strength ! - And nothing else... If you can read in the morning do it, do not change because the other person is reading at night. If you can create new mnemonics and read do it. Don't try to memorise big para if you do it easilyif you can revise only two subject max per day - do it. Don't try to read 5-6 per day because someone told.  The key to success is knowing what you are strong in and what you are not. And push your strength daily and make something fruitful and worth while. My little strength is to make you smile everyday in the morning, i am trying to do it. !  A very good morning - to be uncles and aunties (that day is not far)
