KSHV/HHV8-positive diffuse large B-cell lymphoma (DLBCL) is a large B-cell lymphoma consistently associated with Kaposi sarcoma herpesvirus/ human herpesvirus 8 (KSHV/HHV8), in general presenting in patients with profound immunodeficiency, but may occur in non-immunocompromised patients. The tumour cells morphologically resemble plasmablasts or immunoblasts and have abundant cytoplasmic IgM.

Essential:

• Presentation with primary nodal and/or splenic involvement;
• Effacement of architecture by large blasts/transformed B-cells with generally plasmablastic, immunoblastic or anaplastic morphology;
• Positive immunostaining for LANA (KSHV/HHV8) and IgM
